Time Trial results, 12th April 2005Craignair Bridge, by Dalbeattie, Apr 12, 2005 Tonight's time trial was perhaps a little overshadowed. The Dumfries club are time trialling over the same course tomorrow night, and perhaps the more competitive people were saving themselves for that. As it was, only Colin Reilly and I turned up to ride; Colin had never time trialled before and I'm not fully fit. So we decided not to do a proper job but to ride together. And we did ride together - side by side - all the way, so we weren't drafting one another or anything. And mostly, it has to be said, we chatted about everything under the sun, so we could both have gone a little faster (although I doubt I could have gone much faster). All in all a pleasant ride but not a very serious time trial. Time recorded, 34' 25" for both - I leave it to others to argue whether that counts as an official time. Ends. | [NITF] |
