This year's inaugural time trial took place on a cool evening with a fierce southwest wind. Nevertheless, four riders put in very creditable times.

2. Kenny Dewar 30'47"
3. William Montgomerie 32'44"

Over 5 miles

1. Sally Warner 25' 11"

Nobody was on anything which could remotely be called a time trials special; nobody had disk wheels, or tri-spokes, or tri-bars. William's and Sally's times are particularly creditable seeing both were riding flat-bar hybrids.
