SXC Cathkin Braes, Glasgow on 9th August 2009

This was a first visit to the course which is to be used in the 2014 Commonwealth Games. The course is in its early stages of development. Most of us sneaked the chance of a pre ride the week before the event, which is always a help.

Weather was good on the day and the results were as follows-

Ryan 3rd youth

Neil 7th open

Paul 15th vet.

Jason 15th master

The course was like a figure of eight and a temporary bridge was constructed for the crossing over. There was a challenging drop with the option of a chicken run for the less brave amongst us and a very steep climb just near the finish.
