This year the Scottish Championships were held at Fort William. The club had ten members racing on the day. The course was quite hard but fun (Jenna's words). Well, that was what she said on the Saturday after the pre-ride. However, her race came to a halt when she went over the handlebars and hit her head, hurting her arm in the process. That was the end of her race (much to her disgust), as she wasn't allowed to continue. Luckily, she wasn't hurt too badly and it hasn't put her off. One good thing she says is that she will have to get a new helmet! Her helmet was badly damaged and reminds us of how essential they are for safety.

Adam Hughes continued to dominate the primary school races with a fine first place in his category. Ryan Fenwick got his best result of the season with a 3rd place in the SXC race and a silver medal in the Scottish Championships which he was delighted with. Ross had a good steady race and finished in 6th while Richard came home in 13th position. These boys have a lot of hard competition and show promise for next year, when they will remain in the Youth category.

Morgan enjoyed his Juvenile race and finished in 6th place - he is improving all the time as he gains in experience.

All our adult racers did well and enjoyed their races.

Midges were a great problem at Fort William as usual!

Well done to Adam and Ryan on their excellent podium finishes!
