NPS Round 2Pickering, Yorkshire, 22-Jun-2009 Ryan On The 9th of May, 4 wheelers made the trip down to Dalby forest park in Yorkshire, near Pickering. As this was a test event for a world cup, the course was quite technical, for an NPS race, but not quite as tech as Aberfoyle. The course had a little bit of everything, long climbs, steep climbs, natural descents, bermy singletrack, northshore, rocky singletrack and a 4 cross/pump track to finish! The track was very dusty on practice on Saturday but a rain shower on Saturday afternoon stuck the dust together and made the course super fast and grippy. Ryan, Ross and Richard were racing in the youth category which was 2 laps of the course. Ryan Fenwick was pleased with his 9th place as was Ross Green with his 14th place but Richard Scales was not so pleased with his performance as he had a DNF as he was still not fully recovered from a virus. Jenna Fenwick was racing in the juvenile women category and was very pleased with a spot on the podium and 3rd place. By Richard Scales More PicturesEnds. | [NITF] |
