Five club members competed in a National Point Series mountain bike race at Grizedale Forest in the Lake District on June 14th. One lap of the course was just over 8km. It was rocky and fast with quite a lot of road sections and one very steep bomb hole to contend with.

Our only adult racer, Ben Smith finished 29th in the Masters category after completing 4 laps of the course. This was his first race representing the Stewartry Wheelers.

Our Juvenile racers have to complete 1 lap of the course. Jenna Fenwick finished 5th in the female Juvenile race. Her brother Ryan was pleased to take 3rd place on the podium in the male Juvenile race. Team mates Richard Scales and Ross Green had a tussle to take 8th and 9th place respectively, with only half a bike length separating them over the finish line.
