TEAM OF THE YEAR 2007 On Friday 16th November our team of 8 young mountain bikers, who have raced in the SXC series this year, set off to represent the club at the Stewartry Sports Council Annual Sports Awards held in the Murray Arms, Gatehouse. The team had been nominated for the "Team of the Year" award.

It was an interesting evening with achievements listed from a variety of sports from table tennis to fly fishing. There was also a demonstration of karate, which was good fun.

The youngsters were pleased to be announced the winners of the 2007 team prize and won a shield for the year and also were delighted to receive a small shield each to keep. As the photo shows, the youngsters wore their club shirts for the event.

Gareth Montgomerie was announced the winner of the Sports Personality of the Year 2007.
