SXC Round 3 Fort WilliamFort William, Lochaber, Jun 6, 2007 Ross on the final drop before the finish The Wheelers were well represented on May 20th at Fort William for round 3 of the Scottish Cross Country Series. We had EIGHT cyclists taking part, which was very good, considering the distance we had to travel. Three of the youngsters took part in the Primary Schools Races in the afternoon. Jenna Fenwick was second in the P6/7 section for girls. Rory Bruton was 2nd in the P6/7 section for boys. Adam Hughes was first in the p4/5 section for boys, despite a strong field of riders in this age group. Youth rider, Keith came home in 6th position in his 2 lap race. We had four Juvenile entries in the 1 lap race. Ryan came away with a bronze medal, Ross was 5th, Murdo was 7th and Richard was 8th. The track was busy, as lots of categories were racing at the same time, which caused some hold ups. We were pleased to see Gareth Montgomerie racing in elite. There were also some other well known faces to spot! The next round is a new venue to us at Paisley. This round includes the Scottish Championships. We would like to bring home some medals from this. It would be good to see the "lion" on the podium! More Pictures
